HiddenField

Retreat into silence.

A hidden escape for slow mornings, warm light, and quiet nights — discovered by accident, never forgotten.

A teak porch opening onto the field, with bamboo and fruit trees beyond.

A quiet introduction

Not every journey is meant to be loud. Some places are made for slowing down.

Hidden Field began as a question — what would it feel like to stop performing, just for a weekend? To wake when the light asks you to, and not a moment before.

We built it the way one would build a long, slow exhale: with reverence for trees that were already here, and for silences that didn’t need filling.

“The first morning, I forgot the date.
By the second, I forgot the noise.”

The hours

A day at Hidden Field moves slowly, on purpose.

Nothing here is mandatory. These are the moments most guests find themselves quietly returning to.

  • 01

    Morning mist

    5:50 — 7:00 am

The field disappears under cloud for an hour each morning. Bring a wool blanket. Stay until it lifts.

  • 02

    Coffee with mountain air

    7:30 — 9:00 am

A pour-over setup on the porch. The kettle takes a while. So does everything else.

  • 03

    Slow breakfast

    9:00 — 11:00 am

Garden eggs, fresh bread, fruit from the valley. We don’t serve it — we leave it for you.

  • 04

    Reading corners

    All day

Three nooks scattered through the property. Each with a chair, a lamp, and one carefully chosen book.

  • 05

    Sunset field walks

    6:00 — 7:00 pm

A short loop through the bamboo and back across the meadow. Best done without speaking.

  • 06

    Rain ambience

    Some afternoons

When it rains here, it stays. We recommend doing very little — and listening to all of it.

  • 07

    Quiet nights

    After dark

Lanterns along the path. No screens in the common spaces. Stars, if the clouds allow.

Slow living

We don’t sell escape. We protect quietness.

Hidden Field is shaped by four ideas — not rules, just gentle agreements between the place and the people who find it.

  • 01

    Slow.

We build the day around rest. Breakfasts are unhurried. Wifi is a quiet guest, not a host.

  • 02

    Warm.

Earth tones, golden hours, wool throws, ceramic cups. The kind of comfort that softens posture.

  • 03

    Quiet.

Sound carries here. We treat it as a material — and protect it like one.

  • 04

    Hidden.

No signage on the road. No social check-ins required. Some things are better undiscovered.

What surrounds you

Step out and the forest meets you halfway.

Four small walks, each within an hour. None of them are dramatic. All of them change something.

  • · 01

    The pine corridor

A narrow path lined with old pines. Loudest sound: your own footsteps.

    4 min walk

  • · 02

    Mist field

Best at 6:15 am. Bring a wool blanket and nothing else.

    12 min walk

  • · 03

    Stone creek

Cold, clear, knee-deep. Stay until your thoughts get quieter than the water.

    20 min walk

  • · 04

    The lookout

Faces west. Most guests stop talking around 6:40 pm and don’t start again.

    35 min walk

“Sometimes the most luxurious thing a place can offer is the feeling that nothing is asking you for anything.”
